RIP Ginger (the cat)

My dear kitty Ginger, who I based my first username 'GoldGinger101' on left us about fifteen minutes ago, at age thirteen (approximately). I am saddened that she is gone, but relieved that she is no longer in any pain or form of suffering. I was able to give my final goodbyes and I love yous to her while she was alive and in comfort.

She passed away peacefully in her sleep, one of the best ways any living being can go. She put up a fight against her kidney disease, but her body could simply no longer handle the stress, and she gave up.

Thank you very much to everyone who sent their condolences. My birthday tomorrow will be a slight bit more solemn, but I will be cheered by the fact that my kitty is in heaven, doing and being what she loves best.

She came to our family as a stray who endured the wilderness for unknown months, and lived her life as Queen Bee of the house, and would  always wait for me by the door when I came home from school, a trip, heck even CSSSA. She'd sit on my lap while I was at my desk, and on my bed while I slept. She was my little companion for eight whole years.

She lived the best life she could, and now she's at peace.
